The 2025 Amazing MuayThai World Festival will be the biggest yet!

The World Boxing Council held a press conference in Bangkok on June 4th. Organizers announced the next Amazing MuayThai World Festival.

The Festival will take place in Verona, Italy, from June 25 to 29, 2025. Opening ceremonies will take place in an historic home of gladiators, the Verona Colosseum.

WBC MuayThai President, Maj. Gen. Thanapol Bhakdibhumi, hopes the festival can be an advertisement for Thailand and Thai tourism. The festival will bring Muay Thai and Thai culture to the global stage. Another aim is to support the Thai government’s “Soft Power” initiative.

This exciting festival will celebrate Muay Thai with fun, competition, and culture. Attendees will experience a taste of Thailand. There will be delicious Thai food, traditional goods, and fun activities. Fans and fighters will come from around the world to take part.

Organizers say the festival will encourage attendees to travel to Thailand. “It’s throwing the boomerang globally,” Secretary General Kevin Noone declared. Muay Thai goes out to the world from Thailand and brings back tourism, culture, and economic growth.

The center point of the Festival is the world championships. Over 900 athletes from around the world will compete in thrilling matches. “The real VIPs are the athletes that are coming,” Noone said. “This is amateur, these adult and youth athletes train hard, they get the money and they come to the event. They are the ambassadors for the sport.”

The competitions will take place in six rings with 187 fights per day over four days.

With participants from over 80 countries around the world, the athletes are the life of the event. They can show through example the true spirit and sportsmanship of Muay Thai.

The Festival also highlights 157 years of cooperation between Thailand and Italy. 80 Italian fighters are set to compete.

Representatives of the Thailand national team were in attendance. Famed fighters, Sittichai and Thananchai from Sitsongpeenong gym are the coaches. Under their expert guidance, the young Thai athletes are ready to reach for gold in Italy.
